Terroristic Abuse is a violation against written articles of our Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Hello readers,

This email & blog blast has a very strong defined mission;

PLEASE HELP ME REACH;

GENERAL ASSEMBLY COMMISSION OF UNITED NATIONS

U.S. President Barack Obama

To the Political Powers that be, there is a small group of us here in Illinois who need you to pay attention to a very serious issue happening right here in our country and around the world – Terroristic Abuse

‘Terroristic Abuse’ is committing acts of a criminally vile and extremely detrimental physical, psychological, or sexual trauma to maintain physical, mental, or sexual control of another being; detrimental believed sense of certain physical, sexual harm or even death if they speak to another person about the harm or reveal they are or have been terrorized to protect their attackers dominance and never revealing their attacker’s true depraved nature to others.

There is a deeply wounded sense within this attacker, but it is their right to choice, that is a violation over their victims right to be safe, believe in the Universal Right to life, liberty, and security of person. The ‘terrorist attacker’ has the most sense of dominance when they live with their victims. They act out depraved sexual fantasy against a child or possibly believe they have a right to sell, trade, use, or own their victim in actions of human trafficking. It is a deep sense of psychological captivity as defined in ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ and other such articles of distinction.

‘Terroristic Abuse’ is used to silence victims, often into adulthood, because a part of that child victim, or adult in extreme harmful situations and relationships, is psychologically trained to be a victim, bow to every command, and not reject any act approached or forced on the victim by the other dominating personality. These violent and threatening actions prevent their victims from accessing help, speaking to anyone, even traps them from revealing any harm, therefore preventing any prosecution, criminal or civil liability for the attackers personal choice to constantly inflict extreme sense or direct grievous bodily injury or possible death in the mind and control of their victims.  Often committed by those within our home for a very direct purpose; allow the predator to act out their vicious dominance over another person, (via acts of child sex trafficking, enforced slavery, use of weapons and other forms of physical or psychological inflicted fear, influencing a believed sense of certain death if the victim does not comply to every demand given to them every single day).

These traumatically injuring acts become a believed war zone for the direct victim, along with others who live in the same household. Everyone does what they believe will protect them from direct harm. The dominance and constant believed sense of death, a live-in in type of stalking to terrorize and show dominance over their victim’s next living moment is to ensure the ‘FAMILY TERRORIST’ is never held responsible for the life long struggles of true safety within our person and sometimes extreme psychological impairments on their victims. This has been proven by many tests and reviews by our; Centers for Disease and Control, National Institute of Mental Health, National Institute of Health, Department of Health & Human Services, National Child Traumatic Stress Network and many other quality educated resources. PubMed articles have been written and shared as specific educational & psychological proof of the Frontal Lobe Brain Development Impairments of a child who lives through such extreme grievous harm and fear. These types of ‘terroristic abuse’ is not only immoral but when inflicted to take dominance and control over another person, their victims will likely represent with an adult life of many chronic physical & emotional illnesses. The constantly hidden threat becomes a very personally wounding and distorting impact and will often silence many for their entire lives. When this becomes your normal you are in a way, lost in the painful distortions of your life, yet you have no idea how to address it or get help. You know as a victim how horrible you feel inside, yet the world says its nothing. To your inner sense as human being you constantly battle with thoughts of; ‘This is wrong’, ‘I hate myself so much’, ‘I need to die to escape this hidden pain’. As human beings we have created generation after generation of these types of harmed individuals. Our world and our small communities, even our family members and coworkers all believed we are damaged goods and the more grievous the harm and constant sense of believed death, the more difficult it becomes to manage the entire scope of internal personal pain and dysfunctions, which we then live in, raise children in and it then becomes their normal and the cycle continues forward.

As a Human Society we must absolutely address these violations against the direct human right to personal sense of security and the rights to live as a human being without constantly inflicted fear, dominance, sexual or physical control, over our direct existence despite age, race, religion, geographical or other form of human being rights to life, liberty, and safety. In our modern day society our children are exploding with anger on the streets, in their schools, acts of suicide are higher than ever before in history; we have created generations of individuals who have no clue what true safety of liberty of life really is; no idea what its like to truly be free. Survivors of terroristic enforced pain and harm, as prisoners of war, or in the trapped victim in the house down the street; they grow into adults with a deep seeded trained sense of  secret dysfunctions or anger over their constant fear from the CRIMINAL ACTS & VIOLATIONS AGAINST THEM, especially if they are a child or youth without the lived or learned knowledge that they understand their personal right to always be safe in their person and the right to justice, support, and recovery assistance as provided by the attackers financial and total worth responsibility via property forfeiture, or other financial ability.

On December 10th, 1948; First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt was a member of the United Nations General Assembly Commission who approved and released into every print form for educational or awareness knowledge the

UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS

PREAMBLE

Whereas recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world,

Whereas disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind, and the advent of a world in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief and freedom from fear and want has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people,

Whereas it is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law,

Whereas it is essential to promote the development of friendly relations between nations,

Whereas the peoples of the United Nations have in the Charter reaffirmed their faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person and in the equal rights of men and women and have determined to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom,

Today we really need to get this written blog alert out to every being around the world and across the United States;

We beg your assistance here today in reaching out to address the legal and civil liabilities of ‘Terroristic Abuse’ as an extremely detrimental act against our Universal Declaration of Human Rights and should be held as a violation of the most serious nature by every criminally & civilly protective rights & justices across the United States and around the world. No longer can we continue to tell the generations of human beings that their given human rights to SAFETY & SECURITY FOR EVERY BEING is to be left under the sole control of an adult, parent or other party; that their right to life & liberty as an individual being does not include the right to SAFETY & PROTECTIONS.

For your reading knowledge I have added the links to published articles by our CDC, NIMH, NIH, NCTSN about the many wounding impacts of these trauma wounding and life altering criminal actions.

Thanks readers and I hope you all do your research as I have here as well as the many excellent resources and researchers noted in these references.

Remember; acknowledging there are ‘terrorists’ who want to control our governments and our human beliefs around the world is not so hard to accept, neither are the acts of extreme grievous acts against other beings, even more disheartening in our United States are the sad attacks of violence on our streets, in our schools, and erupting in repeated human trafficking rings and the parental offenders we send to jail everyday. We must accept the childhood traumas and acts of extreme family violence, which are indeed no less than acts of extreme ‘terroristic abuse’, which can and does exist within an estimated (1 in 10) homes across the country. These numbers are based on a few specific statistics which I’ve researched time and time again.

You’ll find documents, studies, and PubMed Articles attached and if you like visit www.butterflydreamsabuserecovery.com for full page of personal resources of survivors whom I’ve talked with, interviewed, and reviewed information shared in our recovery journey together; living the dysfunctions of our lives and impacting the lives of our children and grandchildren. Today there are an estimated 40 million plus adult survivors of child sexual abuse, even more of other forms of maltreatments, in our American society I can prove through researching statistical reports prepared by; Department of Health & Human Services on Child Maltreatment 2011;

One in THREE children are being harmed in some way everyday across the country, not all is terroristic acts of abuse, but most certainly One in Ten reports are of sexually abusive harm of a child. Are you ready to take the chance that it won’t be that bad, that terrifying, that horrific? What would it take to make you accept this grievous harm to you?

Be aware of outward signs of trauma, educate yourself on the silent signs of these vicious ‘terroristic acts of abuse’ many children have no choice but to endure every single day, waiting for someone to reach out and help them find safety & security in their person.

Thank you for reading & sharing. Hopefully you’ll help us reach out further. We need the united support of all adult beings. Let’s ask our United Nations & United States Government to accept and draw into law the truth of the ‘Family Terrorist’ as written and published in ‘Trecia’s Law’.

Respectfully,

Can you hear the children screaming???

promoblkwht     195892_354927684584083_441633201_n

coverkindle.jpgThese are pictures of my past, but now have become pictures of my present day life. Yes, the Breese Journal, Belleville News Democrat, and even KSDK News 5 have all done articles or have shared video from local speaking events. Today even the FBI Victims Services & Citizens Academy have recognized what I am doing here locally (Clinton County Illinois) and as a Trainer in Human Trafficking, Certified Domestic Violence Advocate, Child Abuse Prevention Specialist, and ‘Steps to Recovery’ presenter; what I do to help others is a constant area of work for me today. It is crucial, as in URGENT we begin paying attention to what goes on in our surroundings and circles. There is not enough we can do independently in everyday concern and respect for another, which will outweigh what has been passed on throughout centuries in the acts of domination over another.

My story is one which comes from a life growing up in Freeburg, Illinois during the years from 1970 through 1980, a period of ten years as a child living in a publicly displayed nightmare of horrific abuse, child sex trafficking with community members; actually husbands and sons who were co-workers of my stepfather, schoolmates of my brothers, and directly related to some of my mother’s best friends. The actions of my stepfather were never hidden, as my mother and stepfather truly didn’t care, who did or didn’t know, about how they used and tortured this one middle child in their care. There were so many individuals who were involved with or knew about how I was being used that I can’t even remember how many hands have touched me. Many times I’ve been hit with memories and even shared some of the direct evils inflicted in the true story written in ‘My Justice’. What’s worse however is what has been triggered in my subconscious by permitting myself to travel back in time to reveal the ugly family secrets I’ve carried throughout my life. Those who know me from this town remember little things here and there. Schoolmates have contacted me after reading ‘My Justice’ and all share remorse about what they as children, didn’t recognize, but they remember how my parents used me, isolated me in family responsibilities that went as far as to answering the ring of that little brass bell. Some have contacted me and stated ‘I knew something was going on, but Trish, I had no clue how vicious the life you spent in that home really was.’ Sadly the adults who know my parent’s and, especially my stepfather,only one or two have reached out with words of sorrow or statement about any of what I wrote in being untrue.

Even my own mother, who is still alive, has asked but a few questions, the most ridiculous of those is, ‘How would you like me to talk about a few SECRETS about you?” Thanks Mother, that statement in and of itself validates everything I’ve shared about all that happened and what YOU took part in the training of your little girl whom you helped develop as his forced child whore. How dare you Mother? Do you see what you have done to your child? Do you see just how ugly and brutally neglecting you were? You threatened to SUE me; REALLY MOTHER!!! Step up and claim yourself as being my mother, the mother of all mothers who would allow such evil against one of your own children, but hell you never really cared about any of them!! All you were worried about was the fact you had someone to put a truly evil roof and dysfunctional views for your children. Why was I the only one you allowed him to target in these evil acts? Why was he not ever put in jail? Why didn’t some of your circle of ‘FRIENDS’ ever say a word, or what excuse did you give them for their questions? You probably told them you were the VICTIM. All you ever focused your attention on was what you wanted to make you happy. You knew you could make him do anything, or was I part of that bargain? I hope these questions reach you, since you will not permit me any form of concern or apology, you have given me VALIDATION and for that I guess I can do nothing but at least thank you for that.” your daughter, ‘Trecia Ann’ – Now I am a published author, now I have even developed my own source of business as prevention and awareness, support and information for all those communities today. Are you proud of me yet mother?

Today I find it also validating to hear from others who knew me as a kid, who share with me statements their parents made, such as; ‘I always wondered why that man was so mean with that little girl’, ‘I remember how he used to always take her with him out drinking and hanging out at the bars’. In truth, I was the girl their sons were not allowed to date and their daughters were not permitted to befriend. I was the girl that the boys, groups of them, knew they could come to, either one on one or together, to use in games of ‘Post Office’ where each one had a chance to see how far they could go and just exactly what I would allow them to do with me. There is one childhood friend who started reading ‘My Justice’ and when they got to the part about the one time I spent the night at a slumber party and the only nightgown I had was the see-through little cotton gown purchased by my stepfather at ‘Victoria Secrets’, which my mother permitted him to buy as a gift for me. Well, this friend had to throw the book down and was sickened by what suddenly became the reality of the girl she knew so well. At this time I was just twelve years old, it was his favorite age; the age where my body started to grow into a young woman, the breasts changing and pubic hair just starting to grow. It makes me sick as I think back on it even at this very moment.

Malcolm, ‘Walter in the book’, which I changed names to protect siblings; however, not a single sibling will even talk to me today. My brother condemned me a long time ago, at least ten years ago and has not spoken a word to me since. He only sees my stepfather’s trained whore when he looks at me, says my actions make him sick because I do not live up to the standards of his perfect little life. My younger sister, used to connect and was willing to talk with me about how dysfunctional our home was as a result of the severe alcoholism and mental health disorders in our parents unfolded. She would discuss her emotions of how it was for her after I left, when she was just nine. I say to them both, ‘Neither of my siblings have endured anything remotely close to the harm they witnessed against me.’  Its validating enough for you to discuss the raging alcoholic who was so vicious and the parties, which kept her awake all night.

Mona, ‘Shirley in the book’, is the mother who turned against her own child and abandoned her in the evil of his touch. She has read ‘My Justice’ and repeatedly tried to reach out and talk with me, threatened to sue me, and worst of all; ‘How would you like it if I went around a told a few secrets I knew about you? How about if I tell them how I used to have to go searching for you dirty clothes? How about if I tell them about the boy who climbed through your bedroom window and caught you having sex with him at just thirteen?’ She has not once apologized, she has never denied any of it at all. When she found out about the time he shut me up forever by using his favorite shotgun barrel to take my virginity while my brother and sister lay downstairs watching their favorite show; all she had to say was ‘That sounds like something that sick son-of-a-bitch would do’. She admits that she was warned by his own son from his first marriage about how evil and disgusting he was, yet she chose to marry him and allow him complete control over just one of her children, her young daughter who was just then five years old.

It was a lifetime of haunting by a monster. He would prowl around in the dark like a lion hunting his prey. He would beat me for having boyfriends, and stalk me even after I had grown up, had children, moved out and gone through my first divorce. He even hunted me down to smash my head against the truck window and dash, drag me across the very public street, call me every name he could think of as the neighbors watched and did nothing. The boyfriend I was dating, whose father’s house we were at, simply said; ‘He’s here for you, outside screaming your name. You really have to go now.’ This man preyed again when I was forty years old, had just lost everything I had due to an illness (Pulmonary Embolism), which caused me to be out of work and depend on credit only to take care of my children; well I ended up at my mother’s house to stay in her basement till I was able to get settled again. Guess what happened, guess who prowled around outside the basement shower room which I was told I absolutely had to use, because her bathroom with a lock on the door was completely off limits? She told me he couldn’t climb down those stairs anymore. The bed I was supposed to sleep in was the very same bed I had used as a young teen, even had the same yellow lace bedspread. She would not permit her granddaughter who desperately wanted to travel with me; Mother simply stated; ‘I am not responsible for anything that might happen, so don’t you start your shit’. SHE KNEW!!!! Mother has never denied a single event or action of her neglect for all basic human necessities. She never apologized and in fact there was one slip of the tongue when she stated, ‘You got the life you deserved’, ha-ha really Mother????

You see, I am the one left today with many broken parts still inside. I doubt they will ever fully be able to heal, and some well the scars are so deeply embedded there is no magic surgery from any specialist around that can give me back any sense of normalcy as I look at my reflection everyday. You’ll see in this brief video the horrifying skin which covers my body today. I am left with scars inside and out that will never be able to be erased or healed, the child they tried to destroy and the one an entire community allowed to simply rot away. You will be horrified by this brief video – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Rpt_oHU5NM The Rot of Abuse, uploaded by Patricia A. McKnight

We as a society continue to ignore the hundreds, thousands who are sharing stories of evil today. You can search the net and find video after video, story after story, of lives destroyed and many who are now so extremely wounded by these acts they cannot even be parents to their children. Some so broken into actual separate personalities developed to protect them from the extreme trauma they endured. I ask you all, media, literary agents, book promoters, local press, organizations who defend children or rescue them; ‘When will all of this be enough to create a society strict on its punishments and supportive in recognition of the surviving souls today?” Help share the many stories today; let no child suffer in silence and become your own defender of children. Allow their screams of mercy and rescue be heard!!!! Our children are not expendable, they are not sex objects, they are not household slaves to be beaten and tortured for the slightest infraction. They are person’s waiting for us to lead them through growing to become the next generation in charge of our society. Let the monsters be known and protect our country’s children as one united force against these types of evil. No more can we ignore their screams, their tears, their secrets being shared today.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I pray there is a path for ‘My Justice’ and the many other survivors who are finally speaking out for their freedom and their recovery today.

A Child the Town Forgot

promoblkwht

Hello;

May I please ask for just a few moments of your time to read this message & view the short two minute attached video? Any consideration is hugely appreciated. http://youtu.be/0Rpt_oHU5NM

My name is Patricia ‘Trish’ McKnight and I am reaching out to find an organization or person who will help me continue the healing journey forward.

Why I am contacting you….

There are many thousands of survivors of past abuses & violence speaking up today about the horrors of their past. In our society it seems we have become almost numb, trained into tolerating a certain level of these attacks within our homes. Today, I am trying to break this silent barrier!! Myself and many other advocates work online and in our communities constantly helping those who’ve been harmed to find their way out of the cloud of madness and finally find their own path in life, letting go of the pain to soar into their future. So now, I am contacting any and all who have the power to create change in our society. You have this power and you can encourage many others to stand with the survivors, rather than blame the victims. We were children left by the tolerated generational acceptance to these acts, but we no longer have to teach our children this tolerance. We can change how these crimes are looked at & prosecuted today. We can change their future by empowering them with voice. Erin’s Law has paved the doorway for us to teach our children about sexual abuse, but are we teaching them? Are we teaching them to speak up no matter who is harming them; even if it’s their parents. As most of us well know, these acts are most often done within the walls of our own homes. The families don’t want the embarrassment of the public’s knowledge so they put on the best front possible to the outside world, but when the door to our home is closed, then only the victims know how dark the evil can become.

You see, my family didn’t put up any kind of false front at all in our rural community, there was no perfect family life on the outside of our home. It was simply that my stepfather and his vicious temper were so well known that my mother got away with placing herself as a victim, but I know that she was never harmed by this man. Instead she gave him her oldest daughter, the child she had with her second husband and the one she used as a house slave, a family caregiver, the family whore.

A bit of my history; I grew up in Freeburg, Illinois, which used to be a small town American coal mining community. My time spent there was most of my youth from about 1969-1983. I know during these times things were much different than they are today, but not that much has changed in our rural areas, nor our cities when it comes to abuse & violence within our homes.

Sadly, I was the child a town forgot, a town dismissed, a town ignored and today I carry the emotional wounds & the physical scars because of the fear of my stepfather’s evil. At the age of five he first viciously molested me while my mother was at her bridal shower preparing to marry him just a few weeks later. This attack was done while he was babysitting my brother and two other neighbor boys. He enjoyed that he could be evil with an audience to watch and it just got worse from that moment forward.

At the age of nine my mother walked in early from work and found him in bed with me; completely naked with his erection ready to be inserted. At eleven he began offering me out to other local men at the town’s bars for the price of a couple of beers. I was just twelve years old when he brutally raped me with the barrel of his favorite shotgun, my younger sister & older brother were downstairs watching their favorite television show. By the time I was thirteen the people of Freeburg didn’t see a child being sold out, brutally attacked, ignored & neglected from all forms of medical care & human kindness; they saw the girl who was used to excite their husbands, too well informed about sex for her age. In short, the reputation I had at this very young age was simply put as, ‘The village whore’ and this reputation would stay with me throughout my teens.

My mother would not protect me from him, although she knew exactly what was happening. She wouldn’t stop him from trapping her child in the bathroom every time I tried to bathe. He used his ugly games to teach me how to wash the right parts of my body; this started right after they were married. Mother also refused ANY & ALL forms of medical care or basic human needs, even human kindness for her own daughter was something she just couldn’t allow herself to do. She used her daughter as her housekeeper, babysitter, family caregiver, cook and willingly sacrificed her daughter so that she would not have to tolerate the sadistic needs of the man she chose as a husband.

By the time I reached thirteen, I had already taken my own small step at protecting myself when I chose to stop bathing, sounds disgusting I know. From the age of twelve when he wouldn’t leave the bathroom and mother wouldn’t chase him out as she sat downstairs hearing me shout out for her help; this is when I took that horrible choice and never bathed again for almost FIVE YEARS. Think about this please, just for a moment, a young girl beginning her periods, growing through puberty, used as a house slave, given as property, sold to local men for their enticement & wandering hands; even her own family still see her today as HIS WHORE and not the child who needed rescued from their evil cruelty. The small town of Freeburg left me to grow in this hell; filthy, rotting, and disgusting.

I attended Carl L. Barton Elementary school at the early stages of his evil attacks, which haunted me in the bed I shared with my much younger sister. His almost nightly visits were predatory and his thick coal stained hand clamped tight around my mouth to prevent so much as a whimper from seeping out. The next day at school my homework was never completed and the teacher’s would berate and belittle me, calling me stupid, lazy; making a point to direct attention my way. They were disgusted by the child whose skin was rotting away; encrusted filth covered my skin, my teeth plaque covered and broken black fangs dangling in my mouth. Almost everyone avoided physical contact in fear of catching whatever was eating away at my flesh. You’ll see a brief video attached above which shows the scars from the infection that covered almost every inch of my skin. My breath was rancid, my body horrifying and with an order as bad as the breath from my mouth. Simply put, I carried every single sign of wicked abuse, neglect, disgusting hygiene, a reputation that was built from being traded out; the local daughters were not permitted to hang out with me and the sons were not allowed to date me. I was garbage and EVERYONE in our small American town knew who to call when I did something wrong, they knew who the parent’s of this rotting whorish child were, but not ONE SINGLE PERSON ever asked so much as a question about my well being. Not one single teacher ever said a word, not one single adult man who attended the late night parties at our house for years ever said a word about the girl they used and then discarded; not one young school mate who came to the house parties filled with marijuana & alcohol, accepting the forced oral sex and handed this filthy girl as a toy ever said a word when they saw me in school the next day. It seemed all those years not one single person, not family, not neighbors, not even our local law enforcement or the many who came for the fun; I MATTERED TO NO ONE and THEY LEFT ME TO ROT IN THE HOUSE OF HORRORS.

The life I lived when I left my childhood, was one filled with self destruction; lost, confused, alcohol & marijuana addition, then into more than 20 years of almost deadly relationship/domestic violence. My three beautiful children born to my first husband had no choice but to grow in the shadow of a broken abused mother. They hid in the closets as my second husband violently beat me and on more than one occasion almost killed me. This evil of violence & abuse which took the voice of the little girl so long ago, then invaded my children’s lives and it took me until their mid teens to finally break away and slowly build a broken, but safe, existence for them and for me.

Today, people have referred to me as a ‘Hero’, ‘Conqueror over Abuse’, and even a ‘Freedom Fighter’, however I’m just simply doing what is now deeply engrained in my soul. I, along with co-founder Michal Madison, are presently building a nonprofit organization to help provide knowledge, understanding, and help for families, victims, survivors & communities who have been harmed or are dealing with some form of abuse; Butterfly Dreams Abuse Recovery the website Steps to Recovery, along with the community outreach broadcast of Butterfly Dreams Talk Radio, which has built a huge social following and reached over 30,000 listeners is turning into a great success – bringing awareness, enlightenment, empowerment, support, hope & faith for the many millions of survivors & advocates around the world.

I’m so grateful to say I’ve been doing a number of crucial speaking venues’; one recently with Dr. Elaine Alpert; an educational speaker for the Division of Global Health & Human Rights.

This was a chance to empower healthcare professionals to take every opportunity to question the safety of everyone who visits their offices; they may not get a second chance to save a life or rescue a victim. Coming up next, on the 19th of Sept., I am giving a two hour training presentation at the Victims Rights Annual Conference in Bay City, Michigan; invited personally by the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan.

Thankfully, by the grace of Creator, I am alive today to share hope & help for the many who are still living trapped in the silence of these crimes.  I’ve published my memoir of hell, in the story ‘My Justice’, built an incredible talk radio program, and am now moving forward with building the official nonprofit status for Butterfly Dreams Abuse Recovery & Talk Radio Programming. I am here to encourage others to stand up and say something, protect the children within our families, within our neighbor’s homes, and never let another child be so ignored by a community that they are left to rot in the evil within their home.

Thank you for any time you have given this message and plea for your attention. I’m grateful to be able to speak up and help others know their life after abuse is possible. I am grateful that I have finally found love; I am finally safe, and although I carry the physical & emotional wounds, although I carry the ugly scars & broken teeth; I am still alive!! I am building dreams in hopes that one day we can end this tolerance and begin teaching the true value of our children’s lives. They are not simply objects to be used, beaten, raped, sold and stolen away. We can inspire hope & help together, connecting hearts & holding hands around the world.

Respectfully,

‘Trish’ McKnight

‘My Justice’ is a horrifying, but excellently written autobiography about the sadistic thirty plus years survived by one local woman who grew up within the small community of Freeburg, Illinois. Located just 40 miles outside of St. Louis; Author Patricia A. McKnight is sharing a life lived in hell, which is a FIVE STAR RATED tale of just how dark one man’s actions can be to the child within his home.

Ms. Debra Mize, Prevention Coordinator & Educator for Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois, refers to this incredible story as the most powerful since she read and attended a speaking engagement presented by the great author Dave Pelzer and his autobiography, ‘A Child Called It; One child’s courage to survive’ which made the leading New York Times Best Seller List”.

“My Justice; Shocking, Disturbing, Emotionally Charging throughout every page!”

This powerful story will rock the moral foundations of everyone who reads. Patricia A. McKnight; Author/Advocate/Speaker, now founder of Butterfly Dreams Abuse Recovery & Talk Radio Programming, begins her story at just five years old as a happy little girl filled with excitement, but the moment she open’s the door to the next thirty plus years of her life, everything you thought you knew about the evils lurking within our homes will be forever changed’.

Dr. Brenda Joyce Orozco Markert-Green: whose highly skilled reputation as a Family & Marriage Counselor, Owner & CEO at Afterglow Counseling, Mediation & Family Services, Trainer for American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy, Educator and Adjunct Faculty Board Member of La Sierra University, located in Riverside, California is now using this incredible autobiography as REQUIRED READING for her  students in the field of therapy and family counseling. “My family therapy students are required not only to read this autobiography, they are also required to complete an exam and classroom discussion on what they absorbed and felt; what can they take forward as therapist to increase their senses, skills and expertise as counselors, and to enhance their abilities to better help their clients. This story leaves a deep, lasting impression on my students, which I’ve seen first hand. It truly changes how we see the lives of those around us and how the victims are left so shattered by these acts of viciousness.”

Mr. Peter Thomas Senese: Best Selling Geo-Political Thriller Author/Child Advocate & Founder of I CARE Foundation, who also helped build a women’s shelter and who, in his capacity with the I CARE Foundation, sponsored a conference at the United Nations at the request of the Department of State on international parental child abduction and trafficking, while working to create new laws and government policies that will protect children from kidnapping said of Ms. McKnight in numerous articles and essays, a ‘Hero; A conqueror over abuse and calls this book a ‘Blue Print to Freedom from Abuse’, but it is so much more for by penned word and by action after action, Ms. McKnight and all that encompasses who she is educates or reminds each of us that all of our voices matter. On this note, ‘My Justice’ is a map to find one’s courage, and in it, freedom. As an avid reader and best-selling author, ‘My Justice’ sits in a very special area in my home – and next to ‘Unbowed’ by Noble Prize writer and friend, Wangari Maathai – as ‘My Justice’ has had that significant an impact on my life and my own call-to-arms to protect innocent children from abuse. In my capacity with the I CARE Foundation fighting against child kidnappers, there are many times that I would ask myself while dealing with these difficult cases of families in crisis, “What would Tricia do?” Then answer has led to many children once bound to know freedom . . . and that is just how significant of an impact ‘My Justice’ has had on me and the community of children we serve around the world.

Ms. Linda Walcher: Educator in the Fayetteville & Freeburg, Illinois school system for over 20 years and now a leading member in the Illinois Retired Teachers Association and mentor for many college students has this to share about ‘My Justice’ and the little girl she once had as a student. ‘As an educator, I first met Ms. McKnight when she entered my fourth grade class. Being fresh out of college and a very young teacher then; she was one of my first students. In her bright blue eyes I saw just a happy, beautiful little girl. As I moved on to continue my long time career in the same school system she attended, I truly had no clue as to the life I could have saved in that child. It is only in the last few years, since first reading the details of her endured beatings and sadistic crimes of her step-father, that I have reached out and fully support every effort she puts forth on a daily basis to use her learned and lived knowledge to try and help many others. As an active member in the Retired Teachers Association and with the mentoring of upcoming educators now in college, there is not enough I can say about how this book has changed my entire thinking process. Back in the 70’s we were not as educated or made aware as we should have been about child abuse and what signs to watch for in children. Throughout my years as an educator I was able to help rescue a few children, but reading this story brought all of that little girl’s Red Flag Warning Signs, which she was waving around with all her might, but I just didn’t have the knowledge or the training then to help her. ‘My Justice’ is a book which I highly recommend for anyone who spends time with children.’

Incredibly, Ms. McKnight has taken all of her many years of tragedy and turned them into something she is hoping will help rescue victims of Child Abuse and Family or Domestic Violence. She has now built Butterfly Dreams Abuse Recovery, which can be found by visiting her website http://www.butterflydreamsabuserecovery.com. There she begins with a few basic steps which are FREE to use by absolutely anyone to help with rebuilding life after any form of abuse or violence has effected you or someone you love. On this new site you will find educational and awareness information about what to do if you’ve just recently been harmed and what we can be aware of as a society to help those around us who may be struggling to cope through some form of abuse.

Patricia A. McKnight, known as ‘Trish’ to those who chat with her almost daily, has endured a life that most of us cannot imagine, but to her it was just seen as ‘normal’. She knows the path many victims of these crimes follow in the aftermath of being violated. In her drive to better help us understand she is making all of us aware and hoping to be just one of the voices in the beginning of change.

‘The purpose for publishing ‘My Justice’ was a need to explain and apologize to my children for the many broken repeated violent relationships I engaged in, which have left wounds in their lives. The bitter truth is there was never any legal form of justice to come from all the years of almost murderous violence and sadistic evil, but I needed to release myself from the hand covering my mouth and holding me captive in dysfunctions and madness all these decades; this is how and why I needed to publish this story. What has made a deeper impact on me is the many millions living in our society today just like me; some with even more horrific stories than mine. Because of the way we have been taught to view these actions, there are now an estimated 50 Million or more who know how dark a parent or trusted person’s actions can become. It should be these stories of generations past and present; my voice and the voices of many others, which should be our society’s learning examples of how these crimes, and they are actually evil criminal acts against our own children and our partners; how they set up human beings to live out their lives in a broken existence without ever seeing any value in their person. Even though these actions have been going on in our homes and communities since the dawn of mankind, doesn’t make it the right way to live. It means that we have to step up our game against these behaviors and see them for what they are ‘Nothing less than a learned way to live and treat others’, a disrespect and need for power over another human being. We need to toughen our prosecutions for these crimes and begin protecting everyone around us, not just our own children. What we have permitted by teaching silence to the victims, is what I refer to as our own ‘Man-Made Cancer’ only there is no wonder science which will ever provide the cure. Only by being aware, being vigilant, and being educated about the impacts of the aftermath; the many lifelong struggles of mental health disorders such as; P.T.S.D; Depression, Anxiety, Drug & Alcohol Addictions, Eating Disorders, and even worse the many who’ve committed suicide because of the horrible after effects. Seeing these ugly realities for what they are is the only way we will be able to change what has been taught as so normal. I believe when you discard someone because of their dysfunctions and what many may judge as being ‘less worthy’ or ‘damaged’; then you are discarding a victim or a survivor, someone who has been or is now being brutalized by someone they love. It is by learning from the experts, many of whom make up the millions of survivors today, that we will be able to change our thinking towards these crimes. This is our only hope for providing some form of rescue for our children’s future. Our kids are watching all of the activities across the internet today and they are paying attention to what we do when it comes to helping them cope with all their daily battles. I wonder how they will think of us if we continue to ignore these ugly, vicious, soul destroying actions as we’ve been taught?”
