Who I am today

miracles-happen  “I’m not feeling sorry for myself, so please don’t pity me, it really just makes the situation worse. What I need is to know that something I say or do or write will help you support someone whose been harmed, as well as prevent or intervene when something happens in your circle today.”

Over the past ten years I’ve been on a reality mission to figure out who I am, without focusing on what has been done to influence my past beliefs and behaviors. Learning about the aftermath of my personal war and the influence I have left on those I treasure most. This is not an easy process and one which comes and goes in different situations and challenges as I get stronger and learn more about myself and the actions of others; all resulting in who I am today.

My idea of self appreciation and self worth was never developed because I was put in my place, and lived in the example of who THEY thought I was or the value I carried as a person. Tragically, just in America, we have 3.7+ Million children still living in those same types of environments today. Even worse is that myself and millions of others know exactly who that child might become tomorrow, especially if they are not given help or have at least one positive person who gives them something more to believe in and seek to achieve a greater good.

My stepfather, Malcolm White, was truly walking evil; to me he was and always will be the devil himself. In fact, he used to quote; ‘Heaven doesn’t want me and the Devil is afraid I’ll take over’. I knew in my heart that he would definitely kick the Devil’s ass and de-throne him without an ounce of effort. However ridiculous as it might sound, I am still afraid of his ghost some six years or more after his death. I can still feel him lurking around like an animal after his most favorite prey. I can’t sleep for more than three or four hours at any one time, then suddenly I’m shocked awake and for a split second I’m still in harms way, even though I truly am not.

For Malcolm, the violent molesting attacks that began before he married my mother was not enough. His appetite for cruelty and deviate influence progressed to the point I became HIS PROPERTY; my mother, Mona, stepped aside and did absolutely nothing to help me or care for me ever again. I was told to shut up and stop whining. I still hear this from my siblings today on the rare occasion I speak to them at all. For me the only family I had died in March 1989 and I still mourn his death today. I just stopped by his grave last week and thanked him for helping as much as he could. He was just a boy, a boy who willingly lived in our home until he was 22yrs old; but he was a boy who stepped in front of Malcolm’s rage more than once and he stepped in front of the loaded weapons pointed at my head. He would have taken that bullet rather than see me be harmed. For John, I will never have the chance to repay what he did for me, which was the best that had happened until I was 40 yrs old.

Malcolm influenced my sexual behavior with other boys and men within the community of Freeburg beginning around age 11, when he first arranged a special party with a case of beer and about five neighborhood boys who hung with my brother. I was instructed on who to invite, how to dress, and what to encourage and allow these boys to do with me. It is the most shameful and disgusting memory that I carry. I attended school with these boys. I saw them hanging in the park everyday, and I would party with them being my ‘friends’ for the next five years.

It was just a few weeks later he took me to JB Tavern, just two blocks from our house, where my mother worked and all the coalminers hung out. I was fed double shots of vodka with orange juice, so many that I puked the entire evening and next day. We were there for about two hours when Dave and a crew of miners came in to shoot pool and toss back a few beers. I was given a dollar for the jukebox and instructed on how to ‘shake my ass’ as I played the music. I was asked to pick out the cutest guy, and then taken to his table and offered out for a trip out back or in the car; all it would cost is a couple of beers. This was my value if I had any at all, and when he looked at Malcolm and said; ‘She’s just a kid’, I was taken to the car and beaten for being so ugly no one would ever want anything to do with me at all. ‘I was lucky they wanted to ‘f***’ me’. This was who I became and just part of how I was used until I finally escaped, running to move in with the first guy who asked; a guy from thirty miles away who didn’t know anything about me or my family history. I just needed to get away before I either killed Malcolm or he killed me.

At that time I was 17yrs old; he was going to purchase a mobile home and put me on a plat of ground where he would have his own special key to come over anytime and bring whomever he wished. I didn’t care who helped me get away and I certainly didn’t take time to evaluate who he was or how he treated me. As a result of my inability to realize the inner cruelty he had, the following two years would be almost deadly on a weekly basis.

In the influence of my parents, I became the perfect lifetime victim. It didn’t take much kindness for me to open my legs and my heart; for me to seek their approval regardless of the cost, so long as I felt they wanted me. My behaviors became coping strategies. I was fed a case a beer before I turned 10 years old. It was the way Malcolm reduced my rejections or put me in a manipulating and controllable condition. I was given my first joint before I was 12 and to say the least, this is what I depended on to numb the loss and disgust that I couldn’t escape. Lance was the first to give me cocaine, and I even did a few small hits of acid; but it definitely was not for me and the cocaine was too expensive, so my constant state of being was either drinking or high, or both until I got pregnant and left the country. It was a blessing to be removed from all that surrounded me, but the man I married was not the same man I lived with over there. This man had me in the perfect place; I couldn’t escape and had no one around to talk with or convince me that I wasn’t as low a piece of crap as he insisted I was. Our society wasn’t even discussing the acts of child abuse or family violence back then and I definitely didn’t know anything other than what I had been so well trained to accept; it was my ‘normal’.

From 20 to 40 there was a handful of failed and cruel relationships, some more violent and destructive than others, but each a reflection of the only thing I knew. I fought constantly trying to absorb all of the bad so that my kids would never know that type of pain; however, I didn’t realize just how the chaos was affecting them and the example of womanhood I was giving my daughters. Imagine seeing your mom be beaten to a pulp while you’re sitting at the kitchen table waiting for her to come eat dinner with you. Suddenly the perfect plate of food she delivered to him goes flying across the room, and because she wasn’t going to sit on the couch with him, she was thrown, kicked, punched and slammed against walls, the stove, the sink and the door. Finally the fighting stops and she comes into the table, trying to calm your little sister and get everyone to eat as if nothing happened. Imagine the confusion and human value your children learn in our examples of tolerance. How do you think they will grow to see the world and what value they will hold precious about themselves? What will their children learn and how will they behave in school or in the teenage social situations as they develop?

This is our human conditioning and it leaves an ugly mark on all those affected. It distorts our value of ourselves and how we treat others. Some might become extreme protectors and put the needs of others higher than the needs of themselves and their happiness. Some might become lost in drugs, alcohol, or even deviate attacks on others. Some of those like me get so lost they can’t get out and are emotionally wounded forever; these are those prone to submissive and self harming behavior, that which commonly ends in suicide or overdose ending in death. They can’t hold productive steady employment and have chronic health conditions which studies are finding are actually early onset conditions that first show up as Juvenile Fibromyalgia or Early Post Traumatic Stress; conditions that hold trigger reactions before the person is old enough to realize the effect at all. The overall economic cost to society, becomes the taxpayers burden because of these invading health and emotional conditions that cause a reduction or inability to sustain in self supportive life development. Most have difficulty in learning skills or the development of healthy, productive life skills. After all when did they have time to concentrate on homework or study for that big test?

Personally, I’ve got so many injuries and health problems my body and my daily life are a mess. The cost of my constant healthcare in pain management, medications, various procedures, circulatory and pulmonary progressive diseases; I’ve been on disability since 2007. I would have to say that the worst of my conditions today is the permanent spinal cord trauma which has caused elongated cystic sacs to grow inside of my central canal, a condition called Syringomyelia. This alone causes wide spread severe pain, but add in the intense Fibro & Head Trauma and you’ve got a disastrous mess. I’m not feeling sorry for myself, so please don’t pity me, it really just makes the situation worse. What I need is to know that something I say or do or write will help you support someone whose been harmed, as well as prevent or intervene when something happens in your circle today.

Victims and Survivors need to know that their suffering and their voice matters to someone; that someone cares enough to help heal the wounds and make us stronger so that we can provide a better life for ourselves and more importantly our children. We need the law changes to prosecute these types of repeat heinous offenders. For most of us, we will never be given a chance at justice, because the laws of our past allow absolute minimum time to report or press charges; in Illinois these offense statutes allow only ONE YEAR after victim’s 18th birthday. Hell, I didn’t even know what the word trafficking was and definitely feared this couple so much, along with the condemnation of those around me; my life was something so destructive and disgusting I couldn’t tell anyone what happened to me at all until I was around 35 years old. Some knew that my childhood wasn’t pleasant, but no one, including myself, really knew just how evil and tragic it was.

We are NOT our parents, and we do NOT have to live in the sorrow, pain, and pattern of harm or victim they taught us. We have a choice today and we can actually use the strength of amazing survivors who are finally able to discuss what’s happened; use their courage to speak up as a precious gift. This is a strength beyond measure they cling to and can use, not just to help themselves, but to influence how we help and how we can truly save the life of someone else today. You can be the one to step in and take the bullet; you can stop the bleeding and help stitch up the wounds of our kids lost in the pattern of destruction, crime, drugs, and harm they are trying to survive today. Please don’t sit on the sidelines and judge what that person should or shouldn’t do, because until that same personal violation is against you, then you can never know how it feels or the damage it causes. You may be stronger than they are and bounce back with no problem, but you may watch someone else slowly disintegrate so horribly that it becomes their own extinction.

Today I use my past, all of it; my behaviors and my pain, my bad choices and the influence I’ve seen continue in my children and grand children’s lives; I use all of this hoping that somehow I can help empower one other survivor to believe they absolutely matter. Hoping that I can inspire one victim to get help for themselves and their family. Hoping that I can change the offensive behavior of someone who has been harmed, but reacts and attacks others in their pain. We DO NOT have to harm others or devalue ourselves, because on this amazing planet; every life and every breath taken truly matters and we all have the power to do something about it.

Be a Hope-Line & save a life

Who are the forever silenced victims of Family Crimes?

NewCapitolBldng        Justice Has A Name The forever silenced victims of crime are not those killed, but rather those still living in the broken destruction of their pain. It could be your Uncle, Brother, Sister, Mother, or your best friend. It could be your neighbor, and tragically if we keep ignoring these ‘terroristic abuses’ within our families, we will have many millions more who are forced into silence and will become the next generation living in the aftermath of horror and pain.

Readers, I am asking you to help us finally address this painful topic of these many silenced victims of crime. I’m hoping you will review the petition to our President and all Legislators around the world. See how tragically these Family Crimes and Terroristic Abuse have destroyed millions of lives and created such a huge financial impact in our National Deficit of the estimated $145 Billion Annually to prevent and help mend the lifetime impairments from those who endure abuse, violence, and trafficking.

Today we need to address the serious number of victims who are reported into our system every day.

***The 1 in 6 men who report Personal Violence against them by a partner or spouse.

***The 1 in 4 women who become victims of vicious attacks by dominating partners.

***The 3.7 Million reports of Child Maltreatment which show 1 in 9 reported sexual abuses and 1 in 3 who suffer violent attacks.

These are the silenced victims of Family Crimes and Terroristic Abuse who walk among us everyday. We cannot help or save all of them, but by finally updating our systems of investigation and prosecution, victims support and recovery needs, and education concerning the Individual Right to Be Safe & Live Save;

WE CANNOT CONTINUE TO TEACH SILENCE AND TOLERANCE; PROTECTING THE ABUSERS AND MONSTERS WHO ATTACK WITHIN OUR FAMILIES EVERYDAY? When will it be serious enough for the once silenced victims and the many who are suffering today to stand up and tell our governments to help us end this and hold these monsters accountable for their CHOICE to inflict terror, threat of grievous injury, even possible death if they do not comply with every enforced demand.

**ILLINOIS – CONTACT YOUR LEGISLATORS!!

**AMERICAN CITIZENS – CONTACT YOUR GOVERNORS!!

**HUMAN BEINGS – STAND UP FOR YOUR ULTIMATE RIGHT TO BE SAFE!!

Family Crimes NEED LAWS TO UPHOLD AND PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF THOSE WHO HAVE NO VOICE, WHO ARE CONTROLLED BY THREATS OF GREIVOUS HARM OR POSSIBLE DEATH TO REMAIN SILENT AND PROTECT THE MONSTERS WHO ATTACK. THESE TYPES OF OFFENSES DESERVE ONE FEDERALLY MANDATED STATUTE ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF ALL PERSONS: without regard to age, gender, race, religion, economic standing, or residential location. Now we end the ongoing personal violations within our homes and hold these offenders responsible by enacting into law the following listed measures…..

Bullet Points – Family Crimes and Terroristic Abuse

Trecia’s Law

We the people of our United States of America hereby sign our name to request our government entities implement the changes in our prosecuting statutes, civil liabilities, and social services directives to enact this amendment as written below…

1) Make the acts of detrimental child abuse, child sexual abuse/aggravated sexual assault of a minor, human trafficking or other sexually related acts against a person under the age 18 a FEDERAL OFFENSE.

2) Enforce mandated training for a Zero Tolerance when law enforcement, healthcare professionals, or our public educators suspect a family abuser or other party within the home who is using attacks of grievous harm or threats to prevent the victim of the abuse from accessing help or assistance.

3) Any permanently disfiguring or physical injury to the victim of abuse, should warrant harsher punishments, from 10 years to life in prison.

4) Adjust Statute of Limitations, criminal and civil, when there is any form of sexual interaction with a minor under 18 years old; no less than 20 years from the victim(s) 18th birthday and apply to all states across the country to meet a uniform prosecution process.

5) Forfeiture of any and all properties and assets of the offender at the time of prosecution. Forfeiture of these assets and properties should be awarded as victim’s restitution and/or reimbursement for the nation’s ongoing financial deficit in the provision of victims and/or family recovery services.

6) Any person who knowingly neglects or refuses to make a report concerning the well being of another party, especially a minor child, will be held accountable in a court of law with a sentencing minimum of $500.00 fine and/or up to 10 years in prison if that knowledgeable neglect to report these harms results in the death of a victim.

Public Policy Updates & Changes:

1) Implement Social Services directives to (Three Stage Review) for every report of child maltreatment reported by persons other then law enforcement, medical care, and/or educational professional.

2) Provide an immediate focus in knowledge based recovery support to meet needs of the victim, beginning and ongoing for a period up to 10 years from the prosecution ending date. Education and Recovery to assist in life skills education, home and parenting awareness, health care and family building blocks. y.

3) Societal Accountability, implement education and prevention strategies within every public school system to empower our youth to understand what their rights to life, liberty and security are and give them the tools to help end bullying, abuse, and/or violence among their peers.

4) Engage a Community Response Team to provide education and prevention in every small community, this should focus directly on Warning Signs & Prevention of abuse and/or violence, sex trafficking or terroristic types of harm, to better assess, report, assist and/or rescue victims and/or families in need. ******************************************************************************

**Note: these changes in our prosecutorial and civil remedies are to protect and educate about the types of terroristic personal attacks, specifically against a minor child, but regardless of what familial, foster, or governing state custody the victim(s) may reside as a physical address.**

There is a constant increase in these crimes; resulting in more than 1500 documented child deaths across the country every year related to severe neglect or physical harm. It is time to truly address the criminal and personal seriousness of these heinous crimes; creating a stronger frontline prevention by implementing measures at the States & Federal levels of our United States.

Our laws & policies must meet the needs of those harmed, but our society also must begin teaching our youth about their ULTIMATE RIGHT TO BE SAFE. The best place to begin providing these changes, is to protect all persons and ensure that we will prosecute at the harshest level possible for these viciously detrimental acts of what is nothing less than ‘terroristic abuse’ committed with malice and directed against persons within our home, especially our children; used to prevent ever reporting these attacks and protecting the abuser from prosecution.

Today I’m counting on the millions of adults who suffered for years waiting for someone to hear them, to see the harm and threat they lived within and are still forced into silence about today. The silenced victims have an opportunity to be heard. We have numbers together, creating strength together, and now is the time to climb out from under the shame. Let’s reclaim our lives, no longer terrified, but to ensure we stand strong to educate young victims today so they know they have a common given right to be safe; freedom from fear or threat of harm, freedom from sexual attacks or being sold for a few pennies by the monsters who have ultimate control over their lives.

There are many who will never be heard because the threatened, taught, and forced silence continues to trap them in a cycle of ongoing pain, self destruction, alcohol, drugs, and thousands who commit suicide as a result.

These victims of crime didn’t do anything wrong to bring on the attacks they suffered. They didn’t harm someone else, or cause any distress to those around them. They have fought endlessly, day in and day out, year after year, waiting for someone (anyone) to help them. They know if they come forward to acknowledge the crimes, brutal attacks and threats, which they suffered through for years; their professional careers and all they’ve built in trying to erase and change their past harm are at risk. However, if we remain silent and do nothing, we simply continue to teach tolerance and silence about what is the greatest harm of our human society, the true horror of Family Crimes and Terroristic Abuse.

Although today they are survivors trying just to live in whatever happiness they can create, there is a hole inside which carries the part of them who lived as a terrorized silenced child, struggling to keep control and still praying for someone to see just how badly they were wounded from their many daily battles.

How much longer should these forgotten and discarded victims of crime hide their pain in the shadows because our society is not ready to accept how truly ugly it becomes within the trapped environment of our homes? How much longer will they have to ignore their own tears, silence their screams, pretend nothing happened because it just doesn’t matter anyway?

What I’d like to ask of our society more than anything else, is to finally begin teaching our young children they have an Ultimate Right to Be Safe. They have a right to be free from any fear of attack, and also a right to Freedom of Speech. No matter who might have harmed them; the laws and services must be there for when they find the courage to seek help or rescue. Let’s not allow another person to grow up filled with anger, self hatred, pain, and dysfunction. We have to accept how challenging it is for children to suffer in the threatened silence and cruelty, then honor their courage and bravery to face the world each day.

Illinois Legislators will address House Bill #3242 as introduced by Illinois General Assembly Member, Representative Jay Hoffman. Today ILLINOIS we need to contact your legislators by email, phone, or letters demanding they accept into law changing Statute of Limitations from what is now, 1 year from victims 18th birthday to 20 years from victims 18th birthday, to allow victims time to escape and find safety to bring forth criminal and civil charges for the harm and deviate behaviors they were forced to endure.

Your time in reading and sharing this is much appreciated. We need media attention, we need all legislators to take part and speak for those who are the traumatized and terrorized silenced children of yesterday.

Terroristic Abuse is a violation against written articles of our Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Hello readers,

This email & blog blast has a very strong defined mission;

PLEASE HELP ME REACH;

GENERAL ASSEMBLY COMMISSION OF UNITED NATIONS

U.S. President Barack Obama

To the Political Powers that be, there is a small group of us here in Illinois who need you to pay attention to a very serious issue happening right here in our country and around the world – Terroristic Abuse

‘Terroristic Abuse’ is committing acts of a criminally vile and extremely detrimental physical, psychological, or sexual trauma to maintain physical, mental, or sexual control of another being; detrimental believed sense of certain physical, sexual harm or even death if they speak to another person about the harm or reveal they are or have been terrorized to protect their attackers dominance and never revealing their attacker’s true depraved nature to others.

There is a deeply wounded sense within this attacker, but it is their right to choice, that is a violation over their victims right to be safe, believe in the Universal Right to life, liberty, and security of person. The ‘terrorist attacker’ has the most sense of dominance when they live with their victims. They act out depraved sexual fantasy against a child or possibly believe they have a right to sell, trade, use, or own their victim in actions of human trafficking. It is a deep sense of psychological captivity as defined in ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ and other such articles of distinction.

‘Terroristic Abuse’ is used to silence victims, often into adulthood, because a part of that child victim, or adult in extreme harmful situations and relationships, is psychologically trained to be a victim, bow to every command, and not reject any act approached or forced on the victim by the other dominating personality. These violent and threatening actions prevent their victims from accessing help, speaking to anyone, even traps them from revealing any harm, therefore preventing any prosecution, criminal or civil liability for the attackers personal choice to constantly inflict extreme sense or direct grievous bodily injury or possible death in the mind and control of their victims.  Often committed by those within our home for a very direct purpose; allow the predator to act out their vicious dominance over another person, (via acts of child sex trafficking, enforced slavery, use of weapons and other forms of physical or psychological inflicted fear, influencing a believed sense of certain death if the victim does not comply to every demand given to them every single day).

These traumatically injuring acts become a believed war zone for the direct victim, along with others who live in the same household. Everyone does what they believe will protect them from direct harm. The dominance and constant believed sense of death, a live-in in type of stalking to terrorize and show dominance over their victim’s next living moment is to ensure the ‘FAMILY TERRORIST’ is never held responsible for the life long struggles of true safety within our person and sometimes extreme psychological impairments on their victims. This has been proven by many tests and reviews by our; Centers for Disease and Control, National Institute of Mental Health, National Institute of Health, Department of Health & Human Services, National Child Traumatic Stress Network and many other quality educated resources. PubMed articles have been written and shared as specific educational & psychological proof of the Frontal Lobe Brain Development Impairments of a child who lives through such extreme grievous harm and fear. These types of ‘terroristic abuse’ is not only immoral but when inflicted to take dominance and control over another person, their victims will likely represent with an adult life of many chronic physical & emotional illnesses. The constantly hidden threat becomes a very personally wounding and distorting impact and will often silence many for their entire lives. When this becomes your normal you are in a way, lost in the painful distortions of your life, yet you have no idea how to address it or get help. You know as a victim how horrible you feel inside, yet the world says its nothing. To your inner sense as human being you constantly battle with thoughts of; ‘This is wrong’, ‘I hate myself so much’, ‘I need to die to escape this hidden pain’. As human beings we have created generation after generation of these types of harmed individuals. Our world and our small communities, even our family members and coworkers all believed we are damaged goods and the more grievous the harm and constant sense of believed death, the more difficult it becomes to manage the entire scope of internal personal pain and dysfunctions, which we then live in, raise children in and it then becomes their normal and the cycle continues forward.

As a Human Society we must absolutely address these violations against the direct human right to personal sense of security and the rights to live as a human being without constantly inflicted fear, dominance, sexual or physical control, over our direct existence despite age, race, religion, geographical or other form of human being rights to life, liberty, and safety. In our modern day society our children are exploding with anger on the streets, in their schools, acts of suicide are higher than ever before in history; we have created generations of individuals who have no clue what true safety of liberty of life really is; no idea what its like to truly be free. Survivors of terroristic enforced pain and harm, as prisoners of war, or in the trapped victim in the house down the street; they grow into adults with a deep seeded trained sense of  secret dysfunctions or anger over their constant fear from the CRIMINAL ACTS & VIOLATIONS AGAINST THEM, especially if they are a child or youth without the lived or learned knowledge that they understand their personal right to always be safe in their person and the right to justice, support, and recovery assistance as provided by the attackers financial and total worth responsibility via property forfeiture, or other financial ability.

On December 10th, 1948; First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt was a member of the United Nations General Assembly Commission who approved and released into every print form for educational or awareness knowledge the

UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS

PREAMBLE

Whereas recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world,

Whereas disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind, and the advent of a world in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief and freedom from fear and want has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people,

Whereas it is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law,

Whereas it is essential to promote the development of friendly relations between nations,

Whereas the peoples of the United Nations have in the Charter reaffirmed their faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person and in the equal rights of men and women and have determined to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom,

United Nations Publications

Today we really need to get this written blog alert out to every being around the world and across the United States;

We beg your assistance here today in reaching out to address the legal and civil liabilities of ‘Terroristic Abuse’ as an extremely detrimental act against our Universal Declaration of Human Rights and should be held as a violation of the most serious nature by every criminally & civilly protective rights & justices across the United States and around the world. No longer can we continue to tell the generations of human beings that their given human rights to SAFETY & SECURITY FOR EVERY BEING is to be left under the sole control of an adult, parent or other party; that their right to life & liberty as an individual being does not include the right to SAFETY & PROTECTIONS.

For your reading knowledge I have added the links to published articles by our CDC, NIMH, NIH, NCTSN about the many wounding impacts of these trauma wounding and life altering criminal actions.

Thanks readers and I hope you all do your research as I have here as well as the many excellent resources and researchers noted in these references.

Remember; acknowledging there are ‘terrorists’ who want to control our governments and our human beliefs around the world is not so hard to accept, neither are the acts of extreme grievous acts against other beings, even more disheartening in our United States are the sad attacks of violence on our streets, in our schools, and erupting in repeated human trafficking rings and the parental offenders we send to jail everyday. We must accept the childhood traumas and acts of extreme family violence, which are indeed no less than acts of extreme ‘terroristic abuse’, which can and does exist within an estimated (1 in 10) homes across the country. These numbers are based on a few specific statistics which I’ve researched time and time again.

You’ll find documents, studies, and PubMed Articles attached and if you like visit www.butterflydreamsabuserecovery.com for full page of personal resources of survivors whom I’ve talked with, interviewed, and reviewed information shared in our recovery journey together; living the dysfunctions of our lives and impacting the lives of our children and grandchildren. Today there are an estimated 40 million plus adult survivors of child sexual abuse, even more of other forms of maltreatments, in our American society I can prove through researching statistical reports prepared by; Department of Health & Human Services on Child Maltreatment 2011;

One in THREE children are being harmed in some way everyday across the country, not all is terroristic acts of abuse, but most certainly One in Ten reports are of sexually abusive harm of a child. Are you ready to take the chance that it won’t be that bad, that terrifying, that horrific? What would it take to make you accept this grievous harm to you?

Be aware of outward signs of trauma, educate yourself on the silent signs of these vicious ‘terroristic acts of abuse’ many children have no choice but to endure every single day, waiting for someone to reach out and help them find safety & security in their person.

Thank you for reading & sharing. Hopefully you’ll help us reach out further. We need the united support of all adult beings. Let’s ask our United Nations & United States Government to accept and draw into law the truth of the ‘Family Terrorist’ as written and published in ‘Trecia’s Law’.

Respectfully,

It is time we realize there are many different levels of these crimes within our family unit, our homes; these crimes are heinous & brutal for the purpose of inflicting the highest level of fear or a truly believed sense of certain death, therefor silencing victims and preventing them from finding any form of assistance or rescue. These are crimes of torture and are in the classifications for; Crimes of Terroristic Acts.

The explanation of the ‘Family Terrorist Act’ – ‘Trecia’s Law’ is built from the basis of our Universal Declaration of Human Rights and taken from the definitions provided in our ‘Federal Terrorism Act’ being an act of harm, or detrimental fear, which does create or impose a risk of grievous bodily injury or possible death if victims do not comply.

Friends, advocates, organization leaders, warriors, survivors; you are the concerned & educated persons in our voting society. It is time to make this request and ask our leaders to put our personal right to be safe & live safe, especially within our homes; make this the priority of our nation!!

Please sign, share, help promote, encourage others to sign – this is where our United Voices Matter.

By signing this petition the below information will be sent with your signature!! Thank you all!!

‘Family Terrorist Act’ – ‘Trecia’s Law’ – A Terroristic Attack against our person can be committed by any other person at any time, even inside our homes. What gives a ‘terrorist’ more control than directly residing with their victims. In this presentation you will find the United Nations, Federal, and Illinois State Definitions of a ‘Terroristic Act’. You will also hear the many justifications for this act and some guidelines on how to implement this act. It is important to remember that the psyche of a human being who endures these types of brutal attacks or heinous depravity, especially when they are inflicted by someone who has complete control over our very existence, is against every level of our Universal Declaration of Human Rights. These are criminal attacks on every level and often committed against the weaker party, meaning against those who cannot refuse, cannot fight back, and cannot speak out to find any form of assistance or rescue; mostly sadly our children.

These types of enforced domination against our person, through vicious acts of inflicted ‘TERROR’,  threats with weapons, threats to take our lives or direct harm to someone we love are committed with the sole purpose in preventing victims from seeking assistance, and therefore protects the attacker/abuser identity and prevents any form of official charges, prosecution, and/or victims restitution for the ongoing recovery for the constant inflicted fear, life skills development to become a self sufficient individual.

The constant terroristic environment distorts our perceptions and is then taken into our schools and our streets through acts of bullying, and gun related violence, substance abuse and other disabling related issues. The dominance over another person by acts of continuous control by directly inflicted bodily harm, imposed threats of grievous bodily harm or even possible death if victims do not comply with every demand is not permitted in our already written criminal statutes. Now you need to hear our voices and direct your attention to the implementation of ‘Family Terrorist Act’ – ‘Trecia’s Law’; named after the little girl I used to be whom so many have tried to destroy through heinous cruelty and attempted murder. We must do something now to protect the Human Rights of every person in our society. We have the right to pursue life without the detrimental threat of harm lurking about & ready to attack within our very own homes.

We submit our signatures & our stories to the government of the United States of America by the concerned & educated citizens of America. Today we are ‘Generation No More’.

Thank you for your time and please help us move forward in implementing the amendment as above, thank you for supporting ‘Trecia’s Law’.

Understanding Family Terrorism–‘Family Terrorist Act’

As I was looking around for some more information to share in support of the ‘Family Terrorist Act’ – Trecia’s Law, mainly to bring you an update on just how many amazing signatures from strong advocate leaders, both independent & as organization leaders, who are supporting this measure. It will be wonderful to share your names with Illinois General Assembly Member, House Representative Jay Hoffman when I meet with him to discuss this further on November 25th.

So what exactly is ‘TERRORISM’?

Believe it or not there is no set explanation of ‘Terrorism’; the governments, it seems, cannot come to terms with its exact directives. This being said I’ve found quite a few written definitions during my search through our laws and miscellaneous articles. The best I’ve found is what’s written in this great article shared from Emergency Department of Military Affairs 2008.

UN Security Council Resolution 1566 (2004)

gives a definition: criminal acts, including against civilians, committed with the intent to cause death or serious
bodily injury, or taking of hostages, with the purpose to provoke a state of terror in the general public or in a group of persons or particular persons, intimidate a population or compel a government or an international organization to do or to abstain from doing any act.

United States
The United States has defined terrorism under the Federal Criminal Code. Title 18 of the United States; Code defines terrorism and lists the crimes associated with terrorism. In Section 2331 of Chapter 113(B), defines terrorism as: “…activities that involve violent… or life-threatening acts… that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State and… appear to be intended

(i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;

(ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion;

(iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and…

(C) occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States…”

ref: Various Definitions of Terrorism

What do you think our familial understanding of terrorism looks like?

There are a few examples of this I can share with you, this information is based on just a small reference to the many cases that happen like these everyday. On average, as referred to by the CDC; we have approximately 1 in 4 homes suffering in some form of Mental Health problems, substance abuse, and also violence (what we commonly refer to as Child Abuse & Domestic Violence).

When you combine these three highly escalating issues, then we have outbursts, which can often go on for days on end, then slack off a bit before starting back up again without warning. Very rarely do we see it end permanently without intervention of some type. Commonly the acts of what we will refer here to as ‘TERRORISM’; these outburst of the dominating personality within the home will rage fiercely for quite some time about something as silly as a child’s toy being left in the living room, or perhaps dinner was not as expected; perhaps they may suspect, in their own insecurities, that their target person has said something to someone, because they know these outbursts of fierce dominating control through acts of violent rage, sexual depravity, and threats with weapons are not approved by society. These types of abusers will attack a target member of the household because of their need to feel powerful, controlling that one particular family member or perhaps the entire household; but it is their place to dominate and they will not allow another person to take that power away from them.

These types of ‘family terrorists’ will use vicious threats against their target, and it may vary from person to person within the close family unit. Their threats are commonly done with weapons, guns or knives usually. They can hold their victim in control for hours during one specific attack or for multiples of years in repeated attacks and heinous depravity, all because there is no one to stop them. These actions are even more impacting and life traumatizing if the target of these attacks is a young child and either both parents are using extreme harmful actions against the child or they are terrorized by just one dominating parent who has terrorized others so viciously that no one feels brave enough to step in and protect that child. Terroristic acts can also be used in the severe cases of child rape, hurtful (as apposed to ‘gentle’) acts of molestation, which is also the case in painful forced oral sex acts with the parent, or in cases of child sex trafficking any of these acts might be forced between multiple persons. It is not uncommon to find more and more cases of familial child sex trafficking here in the United States, just as it is in many other countries.

The ‘Family Terrorist’ is also well know normally for being an alcoholic or addicted to some type of substance. This is as the numbers of unemployed or living below normal average income puts additional stress on the household. You will find that the already documented statistical information personally researched by ‘Trish’ McKnight of Butterfly Dreams Abuse Recovery; the stats for 2011 confirm through the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data Base that parents are 92% of all offenders in cases of Child Maltreatment Reports entered into our system across the United States.

A person who commits an act of extreme violence, such as use of weapon, risk of severe bodily injury or a believed fear of death, they deserve to be classified as a ‘TERRORIST’ no matter which of the above definitions you wish to use. These types of monstrous attacks happen about every 10 seconds in our country and as of the report mentioned above, along with Congress noting that “For every one act of sexual abuse against a child that is reported into our nation’s systems, at least six others are never reported’; with this collected information our country has 1 in 3 children at risk of being harmed within their family. Sadly in most of the other allotted six who are never reported and no intervention or recovery process is initiated; the secret is then carried to an early grave for the survivor living in distress without the proper support services and specialized counseling to help heal the intensely deep hidden wounds left behind in the mass of destruction committed against them by the ‘Family Terrorist’ who tortured and violated them until they had hidden so much away in their trapped silence, they no longer knew their true identity and the many possible dreams they could have achieved.

I am presently searching for an attorney who would like to assist in my own case using these definitions, just so that we can have a case on the books with these already provided guided laws of ‘terrorism’. Surely there is a way we can hold these types of monsters responsible for the acts they either ignored in their home or inflicted upon a person within their home. Hopefully there is an attorney with the guts to take this crucial piece of legislature in to prove the lifelong trauma and continued level of self destructive acts which occurred because there was no person that intervened to help prevent this harm or to provide any hope of rescue. When the trauma is so severe it scars your soul and leaves you worrying about the afterlife itself, then these are cases of ‘’’terrorism’ and they should be held accountable for their actions.

Feel free to leave your thoughts; Do you feel a law of this type will or will not work in today’s society? I believe that we have become a society complacent with the words Child Abuse & Domestic Violence/Interpersonal Violence. We are not shocked until it becomes an extremely vicious account declared newsworthy and shared by the media locally or even nationally. If these cases are so immensely horrific then why prosecute them for only part of the deep wounding they have left on their victims, let’s use a distinction between the different levels of abuse and the extreme types of violent depraved actions committed by what may seem a ‘monstrous’ personality.

Please friends, sign & share, let’s keep this measure moving forward.

Dear Mr. President…..

In the FFY 2011 the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data Systems (NCANDS) recorded the demographics for 3,712,034 reports of child maltreatment across the country. Sadly, because of the low number of Child Protective Service workers (being only 33,000), and because a single call taker on each of these reports was permitted to make the determination as to whether or not the report warranted any further investigation, and whether or not the report met the required individual state’s mandated guidelines; our system allowed 2,360,614 of these reports to be written off as Unsubstantiated without any further investigation needed. Even more horrifying Mr. President, is that in the overall 3.7 Million calls only 0.1% of these were found to be false claims. How can we wipe away 2.3 million reports without a 2nd or even 3rd opinion to determine the need for further investigation? How when the proven total of false claims is less than 1% of all reports; how can we say as a country that we did our best to protect our children?

Mr. President, it is with the utmost respect for what you have been able to achieve in your service as our 44th American President, which I come to you as a citizen, a survivor of horrific child maltreatment witnessed and allowed by an entire community for 9 consecutive years, while attending the same school system; yet not one single person cared enough to enforce the enacted child maltreatment protection laws to help rescue me from the monsters who were my parents.

Mr. President, I write to you today as a strong advocate against all abuses of this nature. I have taken what nightmares I endured as a child for the entire twelve long years and turned this into a published autobiography in the memoir ‘My Justice’, which I’m ecstatic to share has been used to teach upcoming marriage & family therapists; reached into the hearts of medical professionals, and has impacted the lives of hundreds of survivors who have been inspired to also begin their recovery and heal their own inner wounds from the lifetime histories of abuse and evil.  Also, in a drive to empower the community & family friends to stand as defenders and report all suspicions of abuse; child maltreatment, I’ve founded a new service, which is self funded, supported by incredible advocates across the country, and now a true resource; Butterfly Dreams Abuse Recovery. Everyday I connect, support, mentor survivors who are struggling through the lifelong impact of P.T.S.D., depression and many other mental health difficulties. There have been speaking engagements and trainings on how I can best help to assist families, victims, survivors to move past what has happened and the trauma which invaded their lives. At the same time I’ve continued my mission of self study of these impacts, our laws, and ongoing local community work to better assist and introduce our local services to our citizens so they understand the who and how of helping someone in a moment of need. In truth, Mr. President, I will give my last breath to make sure that I am doing all I can to educate others, support those suffering, and prevent all I can from happening to our children today.

It is crucial Mr. President that we begin today as a strong country to end the evil crimes we commit against our children and the loved ones in our homes. In order to ensure that all crimes of this nature are being handled appropriately and that all states are ready to join in this mission, I beg you Sir, please create a federal reform of the mandated child maltreatment reporting guidelines, so that we are meeting the very best of these protections and investigations for the well being of our continued generations. We can no longer pretend not to know or recognize when a child is being harmed. Throughout centuries we have permitted and tolerated these types of crimes to fester in the taught silence within our families and protecting the abusers by blaming the child victims and brushing it off as if it doesn’t matter. This has now become our own man-made created and tolerated cancer which has invaded generations of lives. The Center for Disease and Control reports about 50 million citizens living as survivors today, which generates a cost of approximately $124 Billion a year for the lifetime recovery of these brutal crimes.

It is now that we must absolutely create a FEDERAL WATCH FOR THE PROTECTION OF ALL CHILDREN. It is in doing this that we need to create a strict standard of investigational steps which must be followed through on absolutely every single report of child maltreatment. If we do not demand that all responsible adults protect the children around them and report the abuses or violence against children, then we are accepting that our children are not worth the time to investigate and mandate their protection. I beg every citizen to not allow the pedophiles and monsters to control the lives & create the nightmares our children will carry into adulthood and then they are the ones in control. What will we tell them, all of them? How many more lives will we permit in the destruction which invades their adult skills and ability to function?

In respect,

Sincerely,

Patricia A. McKnight

Triggers; what are they and how do we work through them?

What I’ve learned about these horrible little bugging annoyances.

Here is a list of definitions:

    • 1:  a piece (as a lever) connected with a catch or detent as a means of releasing it
    • 2: something that acts like a mechanical trigger in initiating a process or reaction
    • Psychiatry
A factor that initiates and aggravates a behaviour or response.

Etymology

D, trekker, that which pulls

a substance, object, or agent that initiates or stimulates an action.

For ‘Survivors of Trauma’ triggers are any combination of person, place, thing or action, which sets off a remembered emotion or fear. These are instinctive reactions ingrained in our system from the attack/traumatic situation, which caused the original terror.

Just like we have remembered happy moments, which set off laughter or tenderness; compassion, we can also have negative and fearful moments. In fact; as my therapist shared with me, ‘When the trauma is severely impacting our body will gravitate strongest to the negative memory before a happy memory because the negative emotions are much stronger.” We have to challenge ourselves in working through our triggers. One of the first ways in this healing process is understanding what they are and how they work. Know that a trigger will lose its initial power as you first accept the fearful reaction; note here I highly suggest if the terror is extreme then please break down the memory and the challenge of the trigger in sections. Please do not run headstrong into  that which could result in a permanent break in our psyche. In facing little bits of the trauma at each step, we will find it easier to breathe through the trigger, rather than instantly respond; we can learn to control our reactions just like we do with anything else in life.

Its important to have patience with yourself or the person you are supporting during these challenging times. It may take years to finally be able to gain control over the trigger, rather than the trigger controlling you. Sadly the how and when of your control really depends on the person themselves; what they can tolerate, how badly they were traumatized, what specifically was done, if it was a repeated trauma, then how often did it occur and how long did it last overall? All of these go into play when we are learning to deal with these instinctive reactions, the emotions suddenly felt and the memories which take over our thoughts.

Society doesn’t know that you are sensitive to loud noises, or that you get sick when you get around the smell of a certain cologne. Even our family & friends would rather hear how you get ‘turned on’ by a certain cologne or giggle everytime they see you jump out of your skin from being startled. We have to be able to cope in society’s rules. Not everyone will be sensitive to our responses, which means we have to take away the trigger’s power and learn how to control our reactions & actions.

Now you can pretend it didn’t happen; you’ve already been doing this for years and it hasn’t helped you any yet. So instead, try to recognize the physical impacts of your body’s reactions, (tense muscles, clenching teeth, holding your breath, heart pounding, other types of specific body pains). Understand there is something about your surroundings at that moment that just hit a nerve. What nerve? Why did I react like that? What is it I’m afraid of in this situation? Try to connect with the emotions and understand the memory which is flashing through your body. Sometimes we may not understand the connection, because as a mode of self-protection our mind might have tried to completely blank out the memory. However, if you come from a trauma filled home or life, then you can pretty much put the dots together. You don’t need to know every horrific detail in order to take back control of your actions and reactions. Keep in mind you survived something, something which must have been excruciating, but you survived it.

In becoming adults and parents, we know there is a huge level of responsibility, self-responsibility is part of that development. For certain situations in life society doesn’t accept your wounding, no matter how terrifying.  What if you are a parent who is triggered by something that either happens to YOUR child or something YOUR child does? You don’t want to freak out in front of them, so instead we have to take responsibility for our reactions, let it out at a more opportun time. While organizations like N.A.M.I. are developing and thousands are discussing the mental health of adult survivors of child sexual violence, there is still more which needs to be done,  so be patient with yourself and with society. Explain to yourself just as you would to someone else. Comfort yourself and congratulate yourself for your accomplishments, just as you would do for others. Continue educating as many people in our circles as will listen. The more we understand, the more we accept and the better we are able to assist victims today.

Think about this:

(We wouldn’t blame a soldier for being in a public place and suddenly breaking apart from a remembered fear. However, you will hear people whisper; “He/she needs to stay home and work through this. They need held. Be careful you don’t know what they might do. We warn others about their responses, be it for their sake or ours.)

Living in society is a lot different from sitting in our homes with our family. To LIVE in society means to work, run errands or be out in the public rules on a regular basis. Being out among friends, enjoying a meal out, taking a walk; these are all things which make our lives enjoyable. What if you suffer from the issues of ongoing triggers, or you have your own societal fears; the feeling of constant shame or judgment by others? You can see how this would be a problem.

Often times we are out doing something quite pleasurable in society, escaping the isolation of living with these pesky flare ups; this is when we are suddenly faced with something that sets off our reactions. We aren’t expecting it to happen, in fact we would rather it didn’t spoil our good time. There are some triggers which may take a few seconds before we realize it is setting us off at all. Many times if the trauma itself was a way of life then it may well be a trained behavior, so the initial traumatic response may not be as intense, but it may grow in momentum. It may be three days later when suddenly the memory has us swirling, it has taken over our thoughts and set off a series of tensions & fears, which may be completely incapacitating for a few days or more. I’ve seen this occur within adult survivors of child sexual violence time and time again.

Recognize the trigger as a trauma induced memory or reaction. When we look at it logically rather than emotionally (even if at first it is emotional; try taking a breath, snap your fingers, step out of the moment and regroup). As we learn to recognize this in connection to a serious perception of fear, then we can begin working through each reaction or memory of that specific trauma. This can be done on your own through simple daily tasks in life rebuilding skills to help gain back your sense of self-confidence, prove your value to yourself in completing little chores and set goals for yourself that help you in the rebuilding steps. However if you are having difficulty you may want to seek out a support group or mental healthcare professional for guidance.

Understand that some of this healing may involve teaching ourselves a completely new process of life. Meaning of  course, that we completely change our living behaviors and learn to re-do something without the trauma being a part of that specific behavior, such as some of the things I’ve challenged in my own healing. These things may seem pretty stupid to others, but for my life in extreme horror they are very real issues. One of the things I had to completely re-teach myself to do in life, driving. I learned how to drive beginning age 11 driving drunk stepfather around in the country while he repeatedly attacked me with sexual actions, but ‘Don’t you dare wreck’. When I got to be about 17 I couldn’t drive without liquor or the use of marijuana to relieve the initial trauma. These days I still have issues when driving sometimes, especially if I’m in or around my hometown area. However, today I do not have to be under the influence of any medications to get behind the wheel and take off for a day.

We can’t work through the emotions if we do not re-visit the trauma itself. As we work through the imposed fear, we become stronger & the trigger loses its power. True healing comes when we begin changing the impact the trauma has on our life. Understand how it’s all connected, then share that knowledge with others around us. Explain it is proven to be worse than the recovery of our amazing veterans returning from battle. The one important connecting factor in these two realms is that our vets travel around the world to do battle with a weapon and a team around them; survivors of child sexual violence have only themselves, there is no weapon to defend from an attack, an attack can happen on any level and at any moment, the attack can be a repetitive lived action, which most commonly is an attack from their direct parent/caregiver; the one person who has complete control by law and has the responsibility to make decisions about their daily life and how they are raised. In this type of harmful environment it normally doesn’t just happen for a period of time, but rather continues throughout the entire lifespan. This is when the end result is Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and recovery takes an extreme personal commitment.

May this writing help you understand a bit more about these life changing & impacting difficulties, which will invade our children’s lives if healing and support are not achieved. We as a society can continue to pass forward all of this dysfunction or we can begin to understand all that’s connected and how it directly affects our personal development, then begin teaching our children about what it means to truly live strong and to live safe even inside their homes.

Healing begins when we make the effort to understand!!

Love, strength, and courage for your ongoing challenge to heal <3>

Thanks for reading & be well Smile
