I-TEAM: Sex Trafficking – Wandtv.com, NewsCenter17, StormCenter17, Central Illinois News-.

Yesterday friends it was so exciting to see the broadcast of personal interview with #EricSteltzer from #WANDtv, I-Team Investigation,NewsCenter17 Central Illinois. Survivors Advocate Patricia McKnight, invited by Ms. Dana Pfeiffer, Grounds of Grace, nonprofit, and Congressman Rodney Davis pushing measures to block web based sex trafficking. This interview may be too graphic for many, so please take care.

Sadly, there are more and more cases of child sex trafficking popping up in the unexpected small rural communities across America everyday. For this survivor the memories are no less than living with her own personal ‘Family Terrorist’ day in and out, throughout her entire childhood; ‘It was the night of my mother’s bridal shower, when I had just turned five. My brother and two neighbor boys were in the same room.’

Ms. Dana Pfeiffer, Exec. Director Grounds of Grace, is on the streets and in the homes of those in the Springfield & Jacksonville area. She’s found the most common form of human trafficking her organization is seeing with the victims they assist, it is family members using and selling the children in their home. The youngest victim they’ve seen, just 2 years old- and the oldest 68 years.

It is sadly an extremely profitable business as a human being can be sold time and time again. Unlike drugs or guns, a human being can bring in a profit over and over again. Personally, through her talk radio program, Patricia has interviewed others and the big warning she gives with regard to ‘terroristic acts of abuse’ is also to realize the Gang related human trafficking. The children in homes of alcohol, drugs, fear, violence are High Risk Children and the Gangs will lure them in for drugs or sex on our neighborhood streets, in our schools, and ONLINE!! One such woman, Samantha Kierra of Oklahoma was used as a teen by one gang and is now helping other young girls from falling prey to that same situation.

Patricia McKnight, a survivor of years of trauma and terror in Familial Sex Trafficking. The first time she was used in sex trafficking, she was just 11 years old and it occurred at a very public local bar in her small hometown of Freeburg, Illinois. Her stepfather’s instructions were direct and simple as he was getting her drunk on vodka & orange juice, ‘Go over there and play that jukebox girl. You best be shaking that butt of yours too. Make these guys want you so they’ll buy me some beers.’ It was then that he asked one of the young coalminer patrons, ‘How would you like to take my daughter outside?’

There have been many situations she says where he used & sold her for late night parties held at her childhood home. She would receive a call on a late Friday evening, and her mother turned away from her young daughter saying; ‘Have fun’ as she walked into her bedroom and closed the door, leaving Patricia to fend for herself.

Patricia tells us, ‘There would commonly be 10 or 12 men show up at our house. I would be the one as their toy, sent from lap to lap, this hand and that hand, this man and that man’; everyone permitted to touch and play with her as they filled her with alcohol and marijuana to lower her inhibitions.

Sadly this is a very common practice and as many community members knew back then what was happening, so they still do today. There are people around young children in unhealthy situations today; family members, family friends, neighbors, and others who see the outer signs of a self destructing child. These children are not allowed to talk about what’s happening because of the extreme threats of harm used to control and manipulate them. ‘It’s about protecting the predator/abuser in our family. It’s about making sure they are never arrested and that the child believes no one cares, no one will help them, they will be sent away if they tell.’

At 12 yrs old Patricia’s stepfather used his favorite shotgun to rip her insides apart after she asked her mother to help her , she wanted her ‘mom’ to make him stop his vicious molestations, exploitations, and trafficking of her daughter. ‘With her brother and younger sister downstairs watching TV, he called her upstairs and savagely used the shotgun barrel to rape her; with the threat of ‘blowing her head off from the inside out’, she never asked for help again.

There were however many outward signs of something horrible happening in her life. She made a conscious decision never to bathe in her home again. ‘It was his favorite room to trap me in’, she says in painful memory. ‘He would come in every time, from the time he first married my mother when I was five. He would disgust me in touching, probing, watching, instructing me to wash here, there, do this. I never felt clean and since my mother wouldn’t make him stop, I really had no other choice. I never bathed again for five years and the filth, stench, rot of my skin and teeth were a common discussion and teasing in school. It was also something that couldn’t be hidden’

There are many abusers who know exactly how and where to hit or harm you so that no one ever sees the wounds left behind. In her case, her skin grew covered with filth in every crevice of her young child body. Quickly infection started, and her skin covered with pus-filled, infected, deep pitted sores. It spread quickly as she lay in bed at night, scratching and digging in the filth covered skin, while waiting for her ‘family terrorist’ to come prowling around her room. From age 10 to 17, they lived in the center of this small coal mining town. She attended the same school system, engaged with the same circle of family friends and school mates. They all watched, yet didn’t know how to respond to the young girl who was commonly known as the tag, ‘Village Whore’.

Today she may carry the scars of her brutal past, but this survivor has published her story in the fact-based novel, ‘My Justice’ and built a credible website & talk radio network which gained more than 45,000 listens in the short 18 months of broadcasting. She has given her voice at venues from the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan, National Crime Victims Rights Week, Rescue & Restore, and in the wake of many trainings she’s attended and research to understand the aftermath of these battles, helping to ensure not another person suffers in this way; she’s developed Butterfly Dreams Abuse Recovery & the ‘Steps to Recovery’ presentation.

Find out how to prevent the crime of child sexual abuse. Find out from a survivor how to spot a victim, report a crime or attack against you or someone else. For the survivors, victims, and families who are suffering from many types of trauma, alcohol & drug addictions, fears, bullying and other societal difficulties; there is a plan of action she has developed for every person who is rebuilding their life to begin doing right this instant. You are not the past harm against you, but you most definitely are the heroic person who has endured and you have a life to get busy living. Use the ‘Daily Building Tools’ as listed on her website at http://www.butterflydreamsabuserecovery.com – You’ll see her information working together we can help end this suffering and bring about a better human society for all persons.

Patricia has been able to climb to the other side of her life, but not without great friends supporting her and challenges which she had to battle through on her own. Her heart & spirit are sincere, true, authentic and in what she’s doing today she hopes to help as many people as possible change their views about these types of crimes, which are very real, very painful and do exist within our families every single day.

Patricia, ‘Trish’, has worked her way through recovery and rebuilding with the love of a wonderful man, good friends, and believing in having fun. Her greatest pleasure and place where she feels at peace is riding on the back of her husband’s Harley Davidson and cruising on a hot Summer’s day.  We need to enjoy our life, it is a precious gift. I know it hurts that someone has committed awful acts against you, but taking back your right to life, liberty and security in your person is not only a possibility, but it is a necessity. You have so much more to live for and a life waiting for you to create through your own special focus and magic.

Check out Patricia’s story in the publication of ‘My Justice’, available through most online resources. Also, check out the information on her website & the many talk radio broadcasts on Butterfly Dreams Talk Radio. Remember that what’s happened throughout centuries has been taught human behaviors, so we can turn it around by teaching our children and youth today that they do have a voice. They can protect themselves from a dangerous person, dating friend, or a dangerous household. They can watch out for their friends at school and in their neighborhoods. Teach our kids that they can change the future and they are the beginning of the end of this vicious cycle of human suffering.

With the support we’ve been blessed to gain in wanting to help update our Criminal Statutes and Public Policy, Lisa Chilton (Director of Legal Advocacy St. Clair County & Educator Domestic Violence Offender Reform Program), Dana Pfeiffer (Exec. Director Grounds of Grace, 501c3), Illinois House Representative Jay Hoffman & Illinois States Attorney Brendan Kelly, there is a live petition to introduce the Family Terrorist Act – ‘Trecia’s Law’. We would appreciate your support by visiting this link and signing your name. We are asking our government officials to review the guidelines of this amendment and implement the updates needed to better protect the Universal Right to be safe & live safe for every human being.

If you pray, won’t you join me…….

biopic3 It’s not a prayer for me, but rather our society as a whole. If you pray in any form please join in and pray with me now.

Dear Lord, help us now in our vision of peace that we may help those who are still forced to live in the pain from those who should protect and love them. Let the wounded heal so that they become strong, positive parents, to guide their children in your forever empowering light.

Thank you everyone…….

Hello Everyone, I enjoy so much receiving my weekly inspiration. Now I hope this post reaches out to many others. When I sit and think about what I would truly like to have others pray about, it doesn’t come down to praying for or about me, but rather our society as a whole and even more so my children. Four years ago I began a brand new journey in my life in finding out who I truly was. It meant starting from the beginning, which then led into sharing about the horrifying childhood pain I endured. Sadly I was a child whom an entire town of people refused to see as human. My mother left me to rot as I was unable to safely bathe in my own home. My skin began to rot away in the filth and developed a very nasty infection which the scars now cover most of my body. It literally ate me away in his repeated ugly attacks and using me to share with his coworkers, the husbands and sons of my mother’s closest friends. They all enjoyed coming to our house for late night parties with the child who should have been sleeping for school the next day. The long-term impact from all of this is that it became a normal path of life for me. There were husbands and boyfriends, all who attacked me and most who beat me almost daily just because they came home angry and drunk. The impact this pattern had on my children, the fear as they hid in the closet waiting for the battle to end and their mom to come tuck them into bed with her face all distorted and swollen from the punches she had to take. My children are still having such difficulties in their adult lives and sadly this is having another cycle of dysfunction in their young lives. How do I stop this? How do I turn it all around? The book I published, ‘My Justice’, was all about the beginning of opening up my soul to the horror of what was my life, but it was even more so an explanation and an apology to my children for how all the trained acceptance in my life, then influenced their little minds because of what they had to witness. Where does it end? Does God hear my voice when I cry out to him for it all to just stop? Why is my family still living in this? How do I help them turn it all around and find their sustainable happy life; working, living, caring for their children, and growing more wise in their own development? When you pray for the child, woman, mother who was trained to be an object, trained to accept cruelty, degradation, and repeated attacks; please pray for my children. I am safe today, I am loved, and I am working hard to not only find my peace but in helping others throughout society to understand the true life altering impact of these types of acts which most commonly occur within our homes. Pray that the child next door is safe. Pray that the couple down the street are not beating each other and instead are learning to respect and love one another. Pray for our human society that we understand these acts have been going on for centuries within our homes, but that we as responsible humans have the ability to stop it all. We can begin supporting and lending a caring ear or hand to the victims, we can help by reporting even when it is a family member who assaults that child, woman, mother. All children grow up and we have to ask ourselves, what type of influence do we want to leave in their lives? Please pray that one day the world or even just one person around us will see the need for help and they will react to assist those who are being harmed. Please pray for those who face such nightmarish attacks day after day then go to school pretending they are NORMAL, their life is NORMAL, their home is NORMAL. Cruelty and vicious sexual attacks against a child should NEVER be normal. Please pray, thank you 🙂 Patricia A. McKnight. Author: My Justice; Owner – Butterfly Dreams Abuse Recovery. Announcement Butterfly Dreams Talk Radio

We have shared many broadcasted programs during these past 18 months and I am so grateful to the many guests, chatters, supporters who have joined us or have shared our shows. In truth, I absolutely love doing radio. It’s an exciting way to continue passing the crucial need for grassroots community resources to provide assistance for victims, survivors & families who have been touched by some form of abuse, violence, trafficking, bullying and the many other types of personally violating crimes.

It saddens me to announce we are no longer going to be broadcasting, but I feel it is the best decision at this time. One, is the need for me to focus on my writing. Two is the need for funding to continue the premium broadcasting programs which have been enjoyed by listeners around the world, especially Wednesday’s Survivors World. It has been such a connecting and healing opportunity for each of us and I am grateful to have had this opportunity.

Butterfly Dreams Abuse Recovery will be here to help anyone in need, no matter if we are on radio or not. Our organization is about supporting those in need and helping to educate about the true impact from these types of traumas. We will continue our training, our support, our awareness mission and the connections that have been made through our work.

Continuously I share my own journey as well as the information I learn in other specific trainings, which have focused on Sexual Assault, Mandatory Reporting, Human Trafficking, Elder Abuse, Domestic Violence & Child Abuse. I wanted to be sure to provide the very best assistance for the many hundreds of families, victims & even more survivors who have contacted me  over these past 4 years. The educational trainings I’ve taken have given me the ability to disconnect from my own personal trauma when assisting those in need. It is difficult at times to assist with the many levels of trauma and the personally emotional wounding left in its aftermath, so the trainings give the expert knowledge shared by states across the country.

Our radio programs have given us the opportunity to reach around the world, empower many to find the courage to break their silence about the ugly family secrets which have haunted their lives and even made parenting their own children difficult at best. It is my personal hope that as a human society we will begin to see just how valuable our children really are. They are precious souls who depend on the adults around them to protect them and guide them through to adulthood. Sometimes, as wounded parents, we are triggered throughout different levels of our children’s lives, which then impacts the way we connect with them and see their developing ways. In finding the courage to begin our own healing we  find the ability to positively influence their lives in the manner we wish in our hearts.

Please readers, I do hope that if nothing else touches your heart in all the work we do as an organization; you will empower the many wounded souls you come in contact with to believe they deserve true happiness. However, to achieve that happiness we must first learn that at no time should anyone ever have the power to harm you, condemn you, or trap you in their inflicted pain. Every human being is created for a purpose, but that purpose is NEVER to be the victim of this type of cruelty. You can and will achieve your own healing, your own dreams, your own freedom when you make the decision to end the abuses and harm against you. Make the call to report the offender. Make the call to a resource of support to help you through. You do not have to go through professional counseling to heal the wounds of your trauma. You simply need a friend who will support you in your journey, believe the trauma you’ve endured and the many impacts it has left on your perceptions, lack of boundaries, and the decisions you make.

You can and will achieve your freedom, positively influence and guide your children, become the strong spirit you were intended to be, and most of all find your own path to happiness, but first you must be willing to face the trauma and learn to understand how these types of harm actually leave their own mark on the young developing minds and souls of the child you once were. Grab hold of a hand, take a deep breath, get ready to face the darkest of days; walk the path into your own true light. It may not be perfect, but there is certainly a light on the other side of this harm and you deserve to follow the rainbow of life and love waiting there in your healing journey.

Life is a miracle not to be wasted, you deserve roses in your magical garden!!

Call a resource of help, hope, and healing today!!! You could save your life or the life of someone you know and love. Let no person be trapped in the cruelty and condemnation of abuse, violence, human trafficking or bullying. A true story of one child’s life spent in horrific acts of violence, family alcoholism, mental health disorders, vicious sexual harm, community trafficking, and neglect so extreme the scars from rot are still present today.

The little girl who became a young woman searching for anyone who would love her; someone who would make that child feel worthy and that her life of happiness & safety truly mattered.

The young woman who became a wife trapped in emotional degradation & an almost deadly cycle of repeated attacks from the dysfunctional dangerous relationships & marriages.

The woman who became a mother and lives forever regretful of the impact her choices and the tolerance of violence has left in her children’s lives.

The grandmother who still tries to undo the path that continues to cycle forward in the suffering of her grandchildren.

A warrior against the harm of all beings which has been tolerated throughout centuries; hidden within the protective cover of family. The generational teaching of forced family secrets and victim blaming which deters our society from making the right decision to report what they suspect.

What would you do if these ugly acts extended throughout your child’s life? What if your son or daughter, a close personal friend or a partner you chose, had been so violated and abandoned by the entire community?

Almost always there is at least one other person who knows or suspects when a child is being destroyed by those given the responsibility of their survival and growth; their perceptions of the world and the influence they will have on others. Are we abandoning our children in a society of evil?

Its a ‘Family Defender’ Campaign from Butterfly Dreams!!

Its a ‘Family Defender’ Campaign from Butterfly Dreams!!.

Hi there darlins, a very good morning wish your way. May you shine as if you were a wonderful BRANDY NEW PENNY

Perhaps you’ll do me and your entire family circle a huge favor; maybe you will decide it is time to become your own ‘Family Defender’. You’ve heard me talk about things, and yes rant on about things for about four or five years now. Ha Ha, amazing my ‘friends’ have stuck around  love ya’s for that!! Now I am asking you to make a decision, to stand up straight and tell your circle of family & friends, ‘I’ve learned so much from Trish’s ranting these past few years, I am telling you all that’s it, we cannot sit quiet about this any longer. Tell them there is way too much family wounding from what we know or suspect already. Hopefully you’ll check out the many hundreds of websites available for assistance and different forms of support. Please friends today is the day we are A NEW GENERATION IN CHARGE. Do not let the old teachings, which have brought us to the level of violence and disregard of human life that we live in today. We can do better than this. We are not stupid, or incapable; we are strong and if we do this together as a society finally willing to open the door to these dark realities, protect those just in our circle, we can begin to make a change together. This pledge does NOT COST YOU A PENNY, all I’m asking for is for you to think about how you would begin the change of mindset in your house of friends? Submit your thoughts along with your email info and that’s it, your done and then of course I hope you live in what you commit to change within your circle.

Take care loves, finally got the computer online just now, so here’s to using a loaner, but thanks to the provider for helping out. TTYL
